July 13, 2025 - New UNESCO World Heritage Inscription
On July 12th the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Bangucheon Stream petrogphyphs have been inscribed onto the UNESCO World Heritage List. This marks South Korea's 17th inscription on the list. The rock carvings are located in Ulju District, Ulsan and are named the Daegok-ri Petroglyphs and the Cheonjeon-ri Petroglyphs. The new National Museum of Korean Democracy is now open in the former Anti-Terrorist Interrogation Office, which is in Namyeong-dong, Seoul.
